The maps available below were made by contributors to the DEN. These are maps that are remakes of maps from past C&C games like Generals, Zero Hour, Tiberian Sun, C&C, etc. They are graded similar to our C&C3 Featured Maps section, must be eye appealing, and must resemble closely the 'classic' map they are trying to mirror.

NOTE: These maps work in skirmish mode against the computer. IF you want to play them online, you MUST remove the custom art.tga file found inside the map folder, else the map will NOT transfer online to another player.


 

Map name:  Oceanside Remake RA2  by Bailey  [Mr.] mapping group - This is a detailed 4-player map. It is a remake of the Westwood created Red Alert 2 map Oceanside, using the assets from C&C3. Features a series of islands connected by bridges. Buildings to garrison, adequate resources and room to build and expand.

Map name:  Mungovin's The Alamo RA2  by Mungovin - This is a detailed small-medium sized 1v1 map. It is a remake of the Westwood created Red Alert 2 map The Alamo, using the assets from C&C3. Plenty of tiberium, lots of buildings to garrison, and adequate room to build and expand. Nicely balanced map.

Map name:  Grassy Knoll, 2047  by Mac - This is a detailed 4-player map based on the classic Grassy Knoll map in Tiberian Sun, with a few nice additions. Plenty of tiberium, some buildings to garrison, and adequate room to build and expand.

Map name:  Isle of Fury, 2047  by Mac  - This is a detailed 8-player map based on the classic Isle of Fury map in C&C Red Alert, though converted into the tiberium world. Your on an island surrounded by water, and bridges provide access to the enemy. Plenty of tiberium, and adequate room to build and expand.

Map name:  Hour Glass by TiberExp - This 2-player map is a remake of the C&C Renegade map with the same name. Just like in the original map, there is only one place to gather resources for both player, on top of the hill in the center of the map. Limited build space. This map was designed for fast rush games. Map is scripted. When you select your faction and start the game, the map will be automatically create your elite tower like in Renegade. For example, Nod will start with an Obelisk and Power Plant. Download comes with two versions of the map, one allowing super weapons, and one without super weapons. NOTE: There's also a separate version of the map available that was modified by Lion, and adds two Tiberium Spikes for each player, and an additional Tiberium field on the center hill, plus a bit more base area to build.

Map name:  Forest Fires by ZDFlamer2 - This 8-player map is based on the classic Tiberian Sun map. Due to the assets that are provided by C&C3, it may have a bit of a different feel than the original, but does follow the same basic layout. This is a large map, and you may need to crank down your graphics settings in order to run the map at a decent speed.

Map name:  Lion's Heartland Shield - This is a total remake of the Zero Hour map Heartland Shield using the assets provided by the C&C3 game. The scenario is a lush country setting, with a realistic river flowing diagonal from north to south. There are lots of buildings to garrison on both sides of the river, players have plenty of Tiberium to start with, and several expansion fields for the taking. There are Tiberium Spikes for capture as well. Lots of room to build and expand. There are two versions of the map available, a 2-player, and for those of you who like team games, a 4-player that has more Tiberium to harvest. Enjoy the map!

Map name:  A Footpath Beyond by Blue Screen - This 2-player map is based loosely on the map 'A Path Beyond' for Red Alert. Your on an island surrounded by water, and there are lakes within the island as well. Features a lush green setting with buildings to garrison your troops in. Plenty of tiberium and lots of room to build and expand.

Map name:  Fallen Empire Classic by Breno "MaDDoX" Silva - This is a very well done remake of the tournament style 4-player map based on the original C&C Generals Fallen Empire design, scaled up to keep the proportions with CnC3's larger units and structures. Excellent well balanced map for skirmish or online play. Map has been extensively tested and will transfer online. Highly recommended!

Map name:  JB Waterworks by Jey Bee - This is a remake of the 6-player Tournament style Generals map Waterworks that was originally made by the infamous RVMECH. It looks and plays very close to the original. Player starting positions are separated by water. Each player starts with a Tib Field at their base area, and a Tib Field to fight over in the center. Two versions of the map included with the download, one with lighting set for night, and one for evening.

Map name:  Twilight Flame by Sisslik (CNCHQ.de) - This is a remake of the 8-player Zero Hour map with the same name. It looks and plays very close to the original. Scenario is a desert, and has some nice looking cliff and textures work. Good balance and plays with little lag for an 8-player map. Two versions of the map included with the download, one with lighting set for night, and one for day.

Scenario is a desert set for morning. This one mirrors the original close enough, and has some nice looking textures as well. Good balance and plays similar to the original.

Map name:  Dueling Islands by Josh - This is a 2-player recreation of the Dueling Islands map found in Command & Conquer: Tiberian Sun Firestorm. There is one main islands, with smaller islands connected by bridges where your expansion tib fields are located. Two remote islands hold tib spikes, accessible only by air transport. Eye appealing layout.

Map name:  Tournament Desert Reloaded by Markus "ReLaX" Minor - Another remake of the popular map for Generals. If you played the original, then you know what to expect. This one mirrors it very close, and has some nice looking textures as well. Good balance for 1v1 play.

Map name:  Tournament Desert Classic by Breno "MaDDoX" Silva - This is a remake of the 2-player TD map for Generals. Uses the same heightmap of the original C&C Generals TD design, scaled up to suit CnC3's larger units and structures. Tiberium fields and refineries layout designed to provide a similar 'economy feel' to the original map, proportionally to the CnC3 gameplay and economy flow. Excellent well balanced map for heads up play. Super great map!

Map name:  Scorched Earth II by Smurf Bizkit - This 2-player map is an updated version of the official C&C:Generals map "Scorched Earth" created by the legendary RVMECH. This small, balanced, and very eye appealing map will provide some fast heads-up gameplay. The download comes with it's very own installer. Just save it to your desktop, then double click on the map icon and it will install the map in the proper directory for you. Enjoy the map!
