Command & Conquer 4 is the last sequel in the long running Tiberium saga. It is currently in production at the EA Los Angeles Studios. This RTS game is slated for a 2010 release. Below is a list of some of the features this game will have.

C&C4:  Feature List:

"This game is designed to give fans all the answers they've been looking for. With its objective-based multiplayer mode, persistent player progression and all-in-one mobile base, players will experience Command & Conquer like never before"...says Mike Glosecki, Lead Producer of C&C4.

The conclusion of the Tiberium story:
After 15 long years that started with C&C Dawn, Command & Conquer 4 will bring the dramatic Tiberium saga to a conclusion. The final story will be told, and fans will have all of the answers they've been waiting for. After years of enigmatic references to "Kane's plan" and "ascension", it's time to pull back the curtain and really explore the what, why, and how of this Tiberium universe that fans the world over have come to love. The storyline begins in 2062, 15 years after Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars and the Temple Prime incident that led to the Scrin alien invasion and Kane's "death." In the ensuing years, Tiberium entered its next evolutionary state, rapidly expanding across the Earth and rendering our home world all but uninhabitable; the very fate of the human race hangs in the balance. Just as this sense of impending apocalypse reaches its apex, the always-enigmatic Kane resurfaces and heads straight for GDI headquarters. You heard right, Kane (played by Joe Kucan) will be around for the finale!

New Single Player Missions:
Command & Conquer 4 will feature two new campaigns, one for GDI, and one for Nod. Players will get to conquer alone or in a cooperative mode. The two-player co-op can be played across the entire campaign, complete with multi-class play and integrated player progression. Command & Conquer 4's unique design elements will further enhance the RTS co-op experience.

Full Motion Video Returns:

High-definition, live action video sequences will seamlessly tie the game’s final story together. Command & Conquer 4 is to maintain the heart of the series' narrative style - first-person full-motion video storytelling that utilizes actors, sets, and integrated CG elements to create a convincing universe while improving the underlying writing, casting, and production processes to achieve a more convincing result that places players right at the heart of the action.

Toys For The Boys:
Fun, all-new toys that range from the usual tanks to versatile combat soldiers, aircraft, custom vehicles, updated versions of classic vehicles like the GDI Mammoth, and the Nod Scorpion, Stealth and Flame Tanks. The biggest surprise on the vehicular end will be the massive Crawler, a class-specific, all-in-one mobile base that doubles as a powerful frontline combat unit. Command & Conquer 4 will have more units that any prior C&C game.

Technology Makes the World Come Alive:

Lose yourself in reflected sunlight and scream in sheer joy as you blow chunks off of enemy tanks, structures, and anything else you can launch a rocket at. The battlefield comes to life as the atmosphere fills with smoke, fire, haze, tracers, and explosions.

Class-based gameplay:
Each of the factions (GDI & Nod) are subdivided into three upgradeable classes. Each class - outside of a few standard units, such as the engineer - consists of an entirely distinct set of units, structures, powers, and upgrades; the equivalent of a full RTS faction. The "offense class" is your classic RTS faction, tank-oriented and focused on frontline combat. The "defense class" places the emphasis on infantry, bunkers, and turrets, which lets you build complex defensive grids and really hold down a section of the battlefield. The "support class" is based around utilizing a selection of aircraft and custom vehicles to traverse the environment. Once engaged in combat, support players can fight directly or assist their teammates with a variety of powers and healing abilities. While each class has a specialized focus, all three will be entirely competent as a direct combatant. Whatever class you're playing - offense, defense or support - will be more than capable of taking out your enemies on the battlefield..

Battle the Best Online:
With multiple online you earn experience that collects in your persistent player profile. Within the profile, you use your experience pool to level up your classes, earning new units, structures, powers, and upgrades. Since your profile is persistent across the game, you can then take your new toys and put them to use in any of the game modes, which includes single player, co-op, and online multiplayer. And with online games you will be able to play 5 versus 5 matches!
